What does "active sales" mean when looking at my transfers?

I have been using square for a long time and never had an issue until yesterday. I finished my day(end of day) and thought every transaction was completed. When I got home I checked my checking account and noticed that it didn't match my sales in square for the day. So I log back in to square and I'm searching for answers, and I come to the "active sales" page. The active sales amount was exactly how much the difference was in my checkings account. What does that mean and why hasn't the transaction gone through? I have direct deposit and the amount was at least $50+...

Active sales are today's sales or sales since the last transfer time.

These sales will go in the next day.  Check when your transfer time is.  If your transfer time is 5:00 PM (default) and you make a sale at 5:01, then that sale will not be included in the daily transfer and will be included in tomorrow's transfer.

Hey @Ppicker, thanks for surfacing! It looks like another seller brought this up in this thread: Sale has not gone into my bank account. Have a look at RHatch's reply and let us know if that helps.

I've merged this thread in with the thread @Tom was referring to in his post, @Tello.

@RHatch's provided a great explanation of what your active sales are in his Best Answer here
