Vehicle VIN

I am a small time auto shop and wanted to know if the barcode scanner would read the vehicle VIN barcode to be entered in estimates and invoices

Hello @Wilkinsworks and welcome to the Seller Community. 

At this time Barcode Scanners can be configured in several ways. For example, you can set up your Scanner as a keyboard which will allow you to scan any type of barcode. However, when using a Barcode Scanner on Square Invoices in the Square Dashboard only the number will be entered but no item from the item library will be detected. The reason behind this is that our tools only recognize UPC and GTIN codes.
