Turning on "Sync item description" after online store has been updated

I've had the "sync item description" turned off since I started the online store. However, not I would like to turn it on to keep it more consistent. 

However, it's not clear to me if I will loose all the description I've added in the online store when I turn it on. Does someone now the answer to that...? 

And, once turn on, and then disabled again (in case I don't like it after all), what information will get lost then: the item descriptions in the online store...or the descriptions in the POS?

Hey @Riverdel!

 

Thanks for posting in the Seller Community.

 

If the description was most recently updated in Square Online, you will lose all of the rich text styling, etc. that you added to description text and it will sync to Square.

 

I’ve never tested to see if it happens automatically or if it’s the next save, nor what happens if you updated the description within the Square Dashboard later. Does that make sense? Let me know if not!
