Trouble printing on Dymo 30373 Labels

We are converting our business to include barcode labels on our inventory and so far things have ran smoothly. Now, we are trying to tag our jewelry using the Dymo 30373 Jewelry Labels. We generate our barcodes using Square however when we go to print our labels (directly from Square), the 30373 label is not given as an option. What should we do?

We print our jewelry labels from the Dymo app. I have not been able to figure out a way to configure and print them through Square.

That's what I figured. How do you get your barcodes from Square to Dymo? Like how do you create a printable barcode in Dymo that will be read by Square?

@mariahnunez ;

I believe Squares standard Barcode is Code 39 or 3of9, the barcode you choose in the Symbology of the Dymo Label writer also depends on which Barcode your scanner can read.  Code 39 and 128 are both standard types of barcodes.

How to make Barcodes with Dymo Label Writer

I use A zebra printer and have made my own barcodes with it from Code 39, code 128 QR and even Aztec codes which my Scanner reads and Square reads them too for my items.

I am now trying to use the Code 39 format on the Dymo Connect software and no matter what it is telling me the barcode is too big to fit on the label (the physical image of the barcode). I am using the Dymo 30373 Labels and have it set to this so I'm not sure why the barcode does not fit on it.

What is the UPC code you are trying to use for the Barcode?

Is it all numbers or letters too?  If you count all the characters and spaces how long is the longest one?

What scanner are you using?  Is it 1D or 2D?

Here read this about barcodes

comprehensive-guide-to-1d-and-2d-barcodes

There are some limitations to certain barcodes meaning they can only be certain characters or certain lengths.

UPC E or A might help too

or Code 128... but again depending how many characters your UPC code is, in square your barcode could be very long and off the label.

I use a 2D scanner so I can use QR or Aztec codes which can be 5/16" square to over 1" square

So far, we have been using a preexisting code our business has been using to track inventory that looks like this: 6-ALE113961

So it is a mix of letters and numbers we use to identify each item by category, vendor, etc.

They are all the same length if not shorter.

We are using a Socket Mobile S700 which is a 1d imager scanner.

Try code 128 (auto) and try to resize the barcode so the label Code 128 can fit.  Watch resizing the barcode in the video above at about 1:38 in the YouTube video.   Code 128 uses both letters and numbers ... just keep in mind Square only sees LOWERCASE letters and characters.   Meaning I tried "&" which is shift 7 and it showed up as

"sage 7 citrus" even though the SKU was "Sage & Citrus".  When I scanned it on a computer in Word or Note Pad the SKU was indeed 'Sage & Citrus' , notice the capitals disappeared and the & went to a 7.  The - you are using should be fine I think.
