Time based items not categories

I teach classes at my shop and want to sell seats in my class.  I need to end ticket sales the day before the class as there is prep time for the class and I can’t have people signing up 10 minutes before class and expecting me to be ready.  I do about 20-25 classes a month - basically one a day.  

It appears from what I am reading that to do what I want I have to set up a time based category for each class with that single class in the category. First that would be a real time waster and second it would make my menu system look horrible and garbled.  

If I am misunderstanding please let me know and if there is a way to put an ending selling time on my individual items please let me know.

I can’t seem to find anything that addresses this issue. 

One last thing - I am not a restaurant - everything I have found addresses restaurants and not other types of business entities.

Great Question.

I can totally see the need for a feature like this and how beneficial it could be for sellers. At this time Square does not offer a feature that will allow time based items. I'll be happy to move this over to a feature request board so that our engineers have visibility of your suggestion. We appreciate you sharing your request. While there is no time frame for when it will be implemented, i'm happy to make sure our engineers have eyes on your request.
