I'm testing out the message that gets sent by Square Appointments when the business changes an appointment. E.g., I want to change an existing appointment time.
I use the template below for Business Reschedule Appointment message:
{{client.first_name}}, We've had to reschedule your appointment for {{service.name}}. Your new appointment is changed to {{reservation.date_start} at {{reservation.time_start}}. If this doesn't work for you for any reason, please let us know. You can revisit our booking page to find an alternate date & time that would fit in your schedule. Thanks, {{business.name}}
I'm not seeing this message being sent to my client. Is this a known bug? Am I doing something wrong with the template?

We're now in the same boat. Was going to post but did a search for terms and found this post.
We're trying to figure out what actions prompt the "Business Changed Appointment" message to be sent.
The only message we are getting while testing is "Business Rescheduled Appointment" from either clicking and editing the appointment details or by dragging the appointment block to a different line. Both actions trigger "Business Rescheduled Appointment" message.
Thanks, Looking forward to @Megan feedback.
Thanks for surfacing — these are really great questions.
@william — I wanted to double check on how you were testing out the notifications. Is there any chance you were editing an appointment that was assigned to you? If so, you won't receive a reschedule message. Right now, if a staff member changes a reservation that is assigned to themselves, they will not receive a notification of their own action.
@GroveandBaker — I'm going to run your question about "Business Changed Appointment" vs. "Business Rescheduled Appointment" notifications by a member of our Appointments team. As soon as I have more clarity, I'll be back with an update.
Thanks for your patience! 🙂
@Tom thanks
@GroveandBaker — thanks for your patience! I was able to touch base with our Appointments team and got further clarification:
Hope this helps. Please don't hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions! 👍
