I've been reviewing the team permissions setup and haven't seen where a team member can have different permissions for each location. Is this possible?
@TheParishBistro Team permissions is a broad free permission set offered by square. To get more detailed permissions, team management is the only way to go. That being said, different permission sets for different locations for the same person is not something I have ever seen before. I looked through my team permissions and location settings are available to team members but permissions are account wide. So if I have a cafe worker level permission set for an employee and they are able to work 2 locations, they get those same permissions at both locations.
You could possibly set up the most restrictive team permission for one location and not assign that team member to that location and then let them use the team permission passcode and then assign them to the location you want them to have greater permissions at with the appropriate permissions.
What type of permission are you wanting to restrict at the 2nd location?

We have two locations where a team member is in a different position (back of the house) and in the other location is in both back and front of the house.
Hopefully, it's something available in the future as the platform matures.
@TheParishBistro You might want to pull the activity log report if you are using team management as it will tie actions to the passcode. From here you can easily track what someone is doing as far as discounts etc. I agree with you, the platform does continue to grow and become more robust. Maybe not as fast as we would like, but square does read these forums and take the feedback.
