Square Stand 2 Mount - Vertical Mounting

We have multiple locations using a custom app solution that does not work horizontally. We are fans of the new Stand Mount, however can not find any information about if the unit will work properly when mounted Vertically vs the horizontal way it is shown everywhere online.

@LuggageGuy The guts of the stand will work fine as the access to the chip reader is on the side.  The interface is USB-C except for the ipad lightning port.  I know the new stand has a wall mount option.

If your custom solution worked with the old stand, I am pretty sure it would work now, but this is still using the iPad.
