Square Spam

Is anyone else tiring of the Spam Notifications sent by Square?

 

It seems every ten minutes the indicator lights up to say I have a Notification.  Each time it is the same as the prebious one...

 

"You can now take Contactless payments using your phone with tap to pay."

 

Square I have read this & dismissed it a hundred times and it is truly annoying that it returns again & again.

PLEASE STOP SPAMMING ME!

 

Perhaps Square has not heard the sory about "The boy who cried wolf!"

 

Please Square...

I completely understand the frustration of dealing with repetitive in-app notifications, and I've forwarded your feedback directly to our Communications Team for review. This doesn't seem like the expected behaviour, so we're hoping for an update on this matter soon.

Yes, my adhd brain just has to look and see what it is... then its just the same thing i have already cleared.

I've reached out to our Communications Team, and they've requested a few additional details to investigate further. Could you please confirm the following details in your reply:


1. Device platform (Android, iOS)
2. Square app (e.g., Square Point of Sale, Square Invoices, etc.)
3. After swiping to clear the notification, does it reappear immediately, or does it reappear when you next open the app?

These notifications are managed locally, so we'll make sure to investigate this with our Australian team to ensure they display correctly.
