Square Register for Apple iPad 2 with Bar Code Scanner doesn't work

We have an older Square Register that works with the iPad 2. Unfortunately, it stopped working. It no longer charges the iPad and we cannot use the symbol L82208 bar code scanner on it. I tried replacing the scanner with a new one (still didn't work) and also replaced the power supply for the register. Still doesn't work. Funny part about it, the mag reader still works. We don't want to have to purchase a new iPad to upgrade to the later versions of register since we only use the register 4 weeks a year (for remote stores). What else can I do?

Have you tried any troubleshooting? Check out this Help Center Article on troubleshooting the Square Stand to see if that does the trick for you. 

 

If none of those tips help, you can try ordering another USB Hub, as it sounds like this might be the root cause of the issue.
