When will Remote Orders be enabled on the Square Register? We'd love to be able to get pickup orders auto printing at our restaurant. Thank you for your help 🙂
It still isn't available, unfortunately, but I have a workaround.
If you can get your hands on a used iPad (even an iPad 2 will work!), you can have the Square Point of Sale app loaded on it. You can keep the app logged in and on the Orders section. It will take care of all the incoming orders, and you or your staff can close tickets as necessary.
Yeah, it's an additional expense and it would be really helpful to have it integrated into Register, but this is a good way to get by it for now.
Has this been updated at all to be included on the Square Register yet? It's been over a year since the last reply, and I wanted to check in
Hey @desertbloomco! You can accept remote orders through your Register now. You should see an "orders" applet in the drop down menu from the Register. You can complete orders through that section.

@nika Just to be clear on this topic, as we are about to upgrade our Square Stands to Square Registers...Online orders are now compatible with Register? They can be linked to a remote printer and an ORDERS window can be viewed for incoming orders?
I need to be certain our orders will be manageable if we upgrade...TIA

Online orders can be managed from the Square Register! - the steps for order management will be the same as on the Square Stand. Here is a brief overview.
And yes! You should be able to print these orders to a compatible printer.
