Square Register Inventory Question

How long should it take for my online store to show out of stock on an item that I marked unavailable on my square register? Today it took over 30 mins and people were able to order items that were out of stock. Thanks for any help

I usually allow for about 5 minutes for the Register and Online to sync, though it’s usually faster than that. 

 

I just marked something out of stock on my register and it showed as unavailable online in about 3 minutes. 

 

I think the best thing to do is run a test when you’re slow or closed. See if it takes more than 5 minutes to sync, and if it does then I recommend getting in touch with Square Support. It’s possible that yesterday it was a fluke, as I know Square had a system outage, though I only thought it affected logins.
