Square Marketing: How do you delete a campaign?

I made a mistake in the content of my campaign how can i delete it if it already went out

Though you can cancel a promotion (disable the offer), there is no way to "unsend" a campaign. Once the offer is in your customer's email inbox, there is no way to pull it back. 

 

To cancel your campaign: 

  1. Visit your Square Dashboard and select your marketing tab.
  2. Select the campaign that you would like to cancel and click View Report
  3. Click the three dots ("more" option) and click Cancel Promotion.

They seemed to have changed the layout because my "Marketing tap" page looks different than the picture you show. For me, when i view the report of the campaign there are only two boxes on the top right, one is "Duplicate" and the other is "view" There is no "More options" or dots to select.
I really need to know how to cancel a marketing campaign when there is no option to cancel it for me...

@GreenZoneHydro It really depends on which type of campaign you send. 

 

If the marketing emails were a one time send, such as an announcement, you won't be able to cancel if the emails were already sent. 

 

For recurring campaigns like birthday promotions, you'l be able to see the cancel option.

@EJ_ This isn't true. I too have the same issue as @GreenZoneHydro.  I have a repeating campaign for birthdays and there is no ... or options to cancel or delete.  Any campaign I make will not allow me to cancel or delete it.  Please let us know how to fix this.  I have several active campaigns that i am no longer using and wish to end.  Thanks.

Hey @IndieBangBang, thanks for flagging this. EJ is out today but I wanted to step in and take a closer look.

 

It appears that there may have been an update to the online Square Dashboard layout since this post was originally created — sorry for the confusion there. To be sure we're on the same page, you should be able to cancel a campaign by heading over to your Marketing tab > View (below Actions) > Cancel (in the upper right corner of the screen).
