Square Direct Messenger

I was testing out your Facebook messenger integration with square direct messages. It worked great for a week until Facebook disconnected it on me and told me it was no longer available. 

I love the idea of having the messenger on my website where people can send me messages to square dashboard from my website.  Can Square think of adding this feature so we do not have to go through Facebook messenger to get the messages from our website.   I would like the messenger on my website and be able to reply from the square app or the square dashboard.  This would be a great feature.

Regarding Facebook Messenger, we received reports on Friday that Beta users were having trouble receiving messages. Since then, our Engineers have worked with Facebook to resolve this issue.

Please do let us know if you are having any continued issues as of today and we'll be happy to investigate further.

I have had the same problem. It started in November. I was not able to receive or send any messages. I pay for the appointment plus which included the messaging however, when it was somewhat fixed in December 2022, it did not include for me to send or reply. Called several times with no help. I was not refunded any fees back. In January of 2023, clients were able to message/text me and I could reply however, I was not able to message anyone who has NOT MESSAGE ME FIRST. what kind of bs is this?  I pay and need to have the access to be able to contact ALL my clients at any time. So many issues without any resoulutions!
