SOLUTION: Cannot Connect galaxy Tab 3 7.0 (Sprint) with Contactless + Chip Reader

My Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 (Sprint) started to be unable to connect via Bluetooth to my Contactless Chip reader a couple weeks back. I tried all troubleshooting and even called into Square Support. They informed me there was a software compatiability issue and were working to update the Square app.

I was not deterred and continued to try and get it to work........and I DID!!!!!

My work around was to actually put my Contactless reader in pairing mode (i.e. 4 orange flashing lights) and then go into my Bluetooth control panel on my Tab 3. Once there, I hit "Scan" and it found the reader and I paired it manually. Viola!!!!! I'm now back biz!

Hi @Jon, thanks for sharing and I'm glad you got the reader to work!

Update 2019: The Contactless and Chip Reader is not supported with the Samsung Tab 3. If this device is compatible with this reader again in futre we'll update this post to let you know.
