I downloaded an application for the SBA Payroll Protection Loan from sba.gov. Among other things, it asks for my average monthly payroll for 2019. What is the easiest way to find or calculate this in Square Payroll?
I only see the option to get all the payroll information for the year paycheck by paycheck. I'm only interested in seeing the Total Gross for all employees for the year.
Hi @mzovadia,
Glad to see you are applying to the SBA Payroll Protection plan. Many small businesses can really benefit from it and it should be a huge opportunity for them. Have you tried creating a custom report from the History tab in the online Payroll dashboard? You should be able to export a full report of paycheck details in a time range and get Company totals along with it.
Let me know how it goes. I am eager to help other small businesses with this.
Hi @mzovadia and love your idea @mattd ! Your best bet is probably creating a custom "company totals" report. You can customize the date range to the specific criteria your lender is requesting. For example, businesses that operate year round may customize the date range to Jan 1, 2019 - Dec 31, 2019 or Apr 1, 2019 - Mar 31, 2020. Seasonal businesses need to provide payroll costs during the covered period from Feb 15, 2019 - June 30, 2019.
There are 4 types of reports you can generate through Square Payroll, and these can all be created and downloaded by going to Payroll > History in your Square Dashboard:
You can find information on how to create custom reports, find tax filings in Square Payroll, or update your payroll settings during this time in the Support Center.
