Programming new PoS systems and tie them to same account

We are a high school booster club that run a and a merchandise booth using an iPad and SquareApp and recently purchased 2 PoS systems for our concession stand.  Is there a way that I can annotate a name for each system and be able to tell what the sales are for each of the three?  I need to be able to program different sales buttons in the library on the concession stand systems then the merchandise system.

Thanks in advance.

Hello @MTC! You can create nicknames for each device and then filter your sales reports by each device. This product update post has more details: Improved Reporting — Device Nicknames

However, it sounds like it could be worth creating a different location for each Point of Sale: one for the concession stand and another for the merchandise stand.

With Square locations you can assign certain items to specific locations, and track sales based on the location too.  When you've created a location from your online Square Dashboard, you choose which location you're accepting payments at when you sign in to the Point of Sale app. To switch between locations you'd have to sign out of the app though so this might not be ideal if you're selling everything from the same counter! (Or you'd have to make it clear that customers should form two separate lines.)

I hope this is helpful but if you have any other questions about this let me know!

So i have 2 POS in the concession stand (that I want the same items stored in for sales) and an iPad outside the concession stand.  I can create a 2nd location (concession stand) and the the 2 POS can sale the same items and the 3rd device (can cover the merchandise items)?

Hey @MTC, it sounds like you can sign in all of your devices using a single Point of Sale account. This will allow you to have full access to the same item library across all devices. Then, you'll be able to rely on the nickname you assigned to each iPad for viewing which sales are associated with each point of sale. Is this what you're looking to do? If I'm missing the mark here, please let me know what else needs to be covered and I'll be happy to take another look. 🙂
