Point of Sale - Can you add a note to a partial refund?

Hey @oldskooldiecast, welcome and thanks for bringing this up!

 

Yep, you can add a note to a partial refund directly from the Point of Sale app by doing the following:

 

  1. Tap the hamburger button:
  2. Select Activity.
  3. Choose payment to be partially refunded.
  4. Select Issue Refund.
  5. Enter appropriate amount to be refunded.
  6. Add a custom note in the Other field below "Reasons for Refund".
  7. Tap the Refund button at the bottom of the screen.

Additional Notes:

  • The note for the refund will show up in the payment details on your Transactions tab as well as the updated electronic version of the customer's receipt.
  • Notes cannot be added to a refund retroactively — if there's anything that needs to be included, be sure to enter it before completing the refund.
