Please add a notes section to item edit window

I assume there's not already a function for this. I want to be able to add notes about an item like cost history or promotional pricing history. I don't want this information to be viewable by the customer.

Also, would love a function for temporary sale price for line items. Maybe an on/off switch for that item when you want the sale pricing turned on.

Welcome to the Seller Community—these are good points, @Onigiri!

Regarding your first request, we do not currently surface historical item edits or the ability to attach a note as you update attributes (e.g. pricing or sizing). Out of curiosity, can you share more information as to why this added visibility would be helpful for your business? I'd like to document this insight with our Point of Sale Team.

As for sales, the ability to automate the pricing with the Point of Sale app isn't available right now, but we are tracking this request in this thread: Is there a way to set up automatic discounts, such as for happy hours?

Why hasn't this been added yet?!!!!

How would it help?  You can add a percentage of shrinkage. You can add a price or percentage increase. You can add any notes of breakage, packaging, etc. 

It would be SOOOOOO helpful.

a notes feature in items Is 1000000% needed..and also in invoices.  I have asked for this request a few times.
