Partial refund after I cancelled the invoice?

I cancelled an invoice after the client paid 500 and decided not to continue with me. How can I refund her $270?

I just created a partially paid Invoice that I cancelled, to test out whether or not you can process a refund when an Invoice is cancelled - and it was successful! The steps I took are as follows:

 

  1. Open the Invoice within the Online Dashboard
  2. Scroll down to Payments
  3. Select View Payment Details
  4. Scroll to the top of the transaction details and select Issue Refund

Depending on the browser you are using, these steps might be tweaked from what I listed above, but this should still get you where you need to be.
