New to Square Payroll. Have never ran payroll for this company or any employees previously. Square is requesting verification documentation, such as "employee records". Would someone be able to help clarify what is acceptable as an "employee record"?
Thanks. I have already added myself as an employee and attempted to run payroll. Once I scheduled the payroll run, Square prompted me to upload verification documents (Photo ID, Articles of Inc., Tax Return, and "employee record" or payroll run with different vendor). I have all the other information, but there were no details on what is an acceptable form of "employee record". I'm trying to see what documentation I can upload for this item.
It looks like no one has responded to this question... did u ever figure it out? I'm wondering the same thing!
@Massagepro Not sure, but if you have an employee you should have at least a w-4 withholding filled out and signed, i-9 with id and either social/birth certificate for verification unless not a citizen, then you would have a passport or work authorization. I think that may be what they are looking for, but I have not encountered this before.
