I received an email for free $1000 processing once I sign up, how do I enter the code?

referral codes are to be used to sign up to get a new account with Square by clicking the link in the email, not for people that have accounts already.

as a side note, the $1,000 in free processing fees only amounts to $27.50 in waived fees.

I have a problem...I shared my link to a merchant so he makes a account and get 1000$ of free processing.It worked for him and it says he has 1000$ remaining free proceswing but for me,for some reason my account didnt get the 1000$.I am confused becauseit said both of us will get the 1000$ but I didnt.
