Is it possible to stagger tickets being sent to a kitchen printer?

My dinner shift comes all at once and the crew currently working it isn't the greatest at staggering tickets on their own.

Besides the obvious solution of better training is there any way square and ease the process?

Hi @Cketola3! Yeah, gotta love training a restaurant team, eh? 😕

Are you talking about all your staff ringing in orders at once, or are you talking splitting appetizers, salad course, main course, etc?

If it's the staff, well, can I tell you how many times I've been in a kitchen and wanted to do physical harm to somebody? LOL

If it's for the splitting of courses, then it's something Square for Restaurants handles natively. You may want to look into it. If you're using the Square Point of Sale, then the only real way to do this is to order the course you need, save the ticket, and order the next course when it's time.

Haha the feeling is definitely mutual.

It's a counter service spot. No courses or even a full service. Square P.O.S

It would be nice if there was a printer option that would delay the kitchen print by 1, 2 or even 3 minutes. Set it at peak times. Our rushes can be random.
