Our contactless card reader is not holding a charge very long

Our contactless card reader is only holding a charge a week or less. It was fully charged last Thursday and now is completely dead. We were open 3 hours Thursday, 6 hours Friday and 3 hours Saturday. 14 transactions on CC.

Holding a charge for a week seems little short if you are only running 14 transactions, but there are a lot of variables to how much power it uses based on how often the device it is paired with is taken far enough away to need to re pair to the device.  I typically charge mine every other night and get about 300 transactions to the iPad right next to it.  I just alternate which one gets charged.

Hi there @jglaze - as @VanKalkerFarms pointed out, it's possible that you left your Square Reader paired to your device and on during the times you were not using it. I recommend unpairing the reader when not in use if you'll only be using it for a few hours each day. That should help keep your battery from running down so quickly!
