Online items inventory shows double

Somehow the inventory numbers for online items show double of what they are set in items.

 

So I set up items using the main items menu. But when I add the items to the online -> items the stock levels show double.

HI, when you add items within the Square Dashboard and then to the Online Dashboard, that is adding the items in twice.  There is a known sync issue with Square.  Best advice when adding items to your Online store, add them within the Online Dashboard, the items will sync faster.  When adding items to the Square Dashboard there is that sync lag but will eventually sync up with the Online Store.

We need to sell both online and through app. 

 

Are you suggesting adding items only through online > items menu?

If so, will these items also be available through app?

Will the duplicate inventory issue be resolved?

HI, yes, it is confusing.  I have learned adding items on the Online Dashboard the items sync faster.  Also, please know if you are adding items during the busiest time of the day, the sync will take longer.
