I am trying to setup a new discount but cannot see how to do it. We want to run a hot drink and cake offer for £5. Whilst all the cakes are the same price - hot drinks vary from £1.95 to £3.50. So adding a value or percentage discount doesn't work. How can we do this?
Hi @Twiddy thanks for writing to us on the Community.
In this case it might be better to set up your offer as an item and use item modifiers rather than a discount code.
Create one item called cake and coffee offer for example at £5 and then set up the options (cake, coffee sizes) as £0 in the modifiers section.
This will allow you to select the varying items while staying at a fixed price.
Let me know if this workaround would work for you, if not we can look at other options 🙂
Hi Alegra.
Thank you - I think this will be a quick, temporary fix but I was hoping that the checkout would recognise a cake option and drink option and discount to the value of £5 (obviously the discount being variable not fixed as in the current system).
Cheers
