Need to connect USB receipt printer to iPad mini

I have a shop that is opening in a public market. Our stores use iPad minis, receipt printers and cash drawers.

Problems:

Square stand doesn't support iPad mini (need to know if this is totally true or not)

Cash drawer will NOT work with Bluetooth receipt printer

Wifi is provided by public market, but no ethernet jacks

Trying to avoid paying for a monthly fee to use a hotspot/router

We have the following:

(2) iPad Mini

(1) Star USB receipt printer (Square compatible)

(1) Star Ethernet receipt printer (Square compatible)

(1) Cash drawer (Square compatible)

Given the assumptions above, need a solution that will allow us to function normally. If we go the Square Stand route, we'll have to eat the cost of the Minis and buy two new full size iPads

@bkfconsulting - Welcome to the Seller Community, and kudos on your first post! 👏  As for your question, I'm afraid I may not have the best of news. I think for things to function the way you want, you would need to use Square Stands with full-sized iPads and USB printers (unless you're willing to concede using automated cash drawers). It really depends on how much that functionality is worth to you. If it's not that important, you could just pick up a few bluetooth printers and pair them to the iPad Minis for printing receipts.

You can buy a Linksys AC1750 Wi-Fi Range Extender and connect it to the facility wifi.  Plug the Ethernet printer into the wired port on the extender and connect the iPad to the extenders wifi ssid.

Hi @bkfconsulting

The Square stand is not compatible with iPad mini, but you can still use the iPad mini with Square. You can use the Heckler @Rest Universal Stand to hold this type of tablet.
