April 30 - May 6, 2017 is the Small Business Administration's National Small Business Week, a week during which our government and local communities recognize the contributions of small business owners and entrepreneurs. As part of this week's celebrations, I wanted to highlight a few things you can participate in.

There are some great options for webinars this year, including topics "Grow Your Business Online" and "How to Write Your Email Content in 15 Minutes or Less". You can read more about the available webinars on the SBA website, and register there as well.

On Tuesday, May 2, 2017 from 9:30-10:30am, join Square, the Small Business Administration, and SCORE for a Twitter Chat. We’ll be sharing tips and resources to help small business owners start, grow, and succeed. Follow along with the hashtag #SmallBusinessWeek.
Local Events 🏡
Many areas organize local events for their business owners, so make sure to check your city's website for Small Business Week information.
In Oakland, California, there are events planned for every day this week, including finance workshops, online marketing classes, fireside chats with startup founders, and a Shop and Explore night in the Temescal district, including a comedy night! Check out the Oakland Small Business Week website.
