Multiple Locations Item Library

Hello,

I am opening a small satellite shop. It will have a very limited assortment. I went and added a location under Settings/Business. When I go to Item Library and filter on the new location. All of the skus from my other location show up with zero quantity. I did not select match a location, so why would they show up? And, is there a bulk way to delete these from the new location? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Ruth

Hi again @SmithMaker 👋

This definitely does sound off, but it's difficult to pinpoint what may be happening without looking at your account with you. The fastest way to gain some clarity about what happened here would be to reach out directly. If something is wrong, our team can file a ticket to have our engineers dig in and come to a resolution.

In regards to bulk editing, it is possible to bulk edit your items via your Square Online website editor.
To "bulk edit" your Square Item Library (via your Square Dashboard) - you'll need to export, edit, then import.

Is there a way to bulk change the location for items?  We have two locations and there are 100s of items showing in one of our store locations that aren't available there.  Can anyone help?

If your items were set with the check box "All Future Locations" they will auto add.

The only way to bulk delete is to export, modify the CSV, and reimport.  When you modify the CSV you can remove them from the location you don't want them in. You and do this modification in a spreadsheet application like Excel or OpenOffice and then save it back to a CSV file.
