Can someone with experience in a mobile business recommend any hardware that fits my needs as follows:
I'm starting a business that is basically selling products out of my backpack.
I can't drive so everything has to be light.
I have read a few posts on choosing the right hardware but it's still unclear.
I have the stripe reader.
I'd like a POS that is separate from my phone as well as the ability to scan barcodes/QR codes and print a receipt.
It can use my cellphone data hotspot if needed.
The square terminal is what I would recommend based on your post. It can't scan barcodes though, but has a built-in screen and chip reader, an old magstripe reader, and printer, and is powered by a built-in battery. you would need to tether it to your phone or wifi for internet connectivity though.
Have you used it?
It seems like a good option but how does it do in everyday use?
