Merging 2 inventory items

I looked back through the chats regarding merging 2 inventory items and it doesn't look like it was ever added as a feature. I like many of the other users have over 300 items in my store with numerous variations to each item. I recently bundled a set of items together to sell and want to merge the previous sales into this bundle, but I am not finding a way to do that other than exporting and then importing which from what I am reading is rather time consuming.

This topic has come up from time to time, and I see a fair amount of chatter looking back over the years. I have only needed to do something like this a handful of times in 10 years. I expect the lack of repetitive need for such a feature among users keeps it low or absent from the priority list. 

I realize my comment isn't helpful but adding context in hopes of supporting those that might find such a feature useful more than I do.

Thank you for the reply. I'm new to Square and am trying to figure all the ins and outs. Unfortunately, it is something that happens, not on a daily basis, but quite often. I discovered we can merge customers if you have a double entry, and it would seem to me that it would be the same type of fix. Of course, I am not a software engineer by any means.
