Loyalty

 Is there a way to add a value in the loyalty program for the square POS? I am trying to allow customers to earn points in multiple different ways but it seems that it is only allowing me to have one value and I can’t add any others. Does anyone have a solution?

At this time, our Loyalty program only allows you to select one way in which your customers can earn points.

Would love the option to be able to add an additional way for customers to earn points.   Such as purchase of a certain product, etc.

I totally see where you're coming from -  this feature encourages your customers to engage with your business in multiple ways, plus it incentives them to spend more. With that said, I'm afraid I don't have anything to share about where this fits on Loyalty's roadmap, but I'll be sure to hop back to this thread when I hear more!

This was 2 years ago and it's still not an option. There are a lot of sellers that would like this option. 

 

 

Will there ever be an option for cumulative spending in square loyalty? 

 

For example, you get a $5 reward for every $50 spent. 

 

Currently, my customers have to spend $5 to get one point, but if they spend less than $5 it doesn't count towards $50 spent. I would like for them to be able to spend any amount in store and that purchase goes toward the $50 spent. 

 

I have tried contacting support and I don't get a response on this. I am sure that lots of other square sellers would appreciate this feature as well.

I have ran into a roadblock with the current loyalty program. With the tiered loyalty program there is an option to create multiple rewards, for different reward incentives, etc. However, there doesn't seem to be a way to create two loyalty programs with two different parameters on how you earn points, stars...

 

In my situation, this is an issue because we have two parts to our business that differentiate quite drastically in how we want to do rewards. One side of our business is a dessert/sandwich shoppe, where we want a 15% discount per 10 purchases with a minimum dollar amount per purchase. The other part of our business is a coffee shoppe where you can buy 10 drinks, get one free, with either no minimum dollar limit or lower than $10 per purchase.

 

With the current loyalty program setup, there seems to be no way to address the issue without having physical punch cards for the coffee shoppe and leaving the virtual loyalty rewards for the sandwich shoppe. If anyone has any ideas or workarounds that'd be great!

Any plans to add promotional options for loyalty points? I wanted to mirror the program from the "Green Mermaid" coffee shops and do double point days or run multipliers for purchasing new items.

Hey @designtime- Good question! There's not an automated way that double points can be implemented. If you wanted to issue double point days, you would need to adjust the rule value in your Loyalty settings prior to your double point day. Then at the end of the day, you would readjust the points so that they earn their normal value.

I currently enrolled in square loyalty & gift cards. However, I don't know how to add these items in check out screen? Please help!

You can learn how to set up your gift cards and start selling here!
 

When a purchase qualifies for Loyalty points, you'll see the option to enroll your customer.

Just about everything else you need to know about the Loyalty program can be found here.

Hi.  I just started offering Square Loyalty program to my customers and I have two questions.

 

1. Can I change the initial text message they receive asking them to download Cash App.?

 

2. We are a coffee shop and selected all of our drinks as eligible rewards.  When it comes time to redeem a reward will the drink they can redeem for include additional $ modifiers such as almond milk or extra shot of espresso?

Those are some great questions! Please see below for follow up:

 

Remove Cash App Message

 

1) Loyalty >> Settings. They have the ability to toggle off Cash App integration. If they do so, we will instead share a web link to where customers can check their point status.

 

Manage Rewards Applied to Modifiers

 

2) If you select an item or category for a reward, any modifiers applied to that item will be included in the reward, and given the same discount. If you’d like to charge for modifiers applied to items that are part of a loyalty reward, follow these steps:

 

  1. When creating your loyalty program, select Partial Discount on an Item.
  2. Select the item(s) that qualify for the reward.
  3. Set a reward value equal to the item price before any modifiers are applied.

 

The reward will be deducted from the purchase total so that the item is free but the modifiers are not.
