Is there any way to tell when a Tab was originally created?

I have open tabs(tickets) but everytime I open it it refreshes the date even if the ticket wasnt added on to or changed. Is there a way to know the original date of the ticket, so the customer doesnt think stuff was added on or it is wrong?

Hey @V-deli, welcome to the seller community and thanks for bringing this up.

At this time, the app will not track when a ticket was originally created. It will only display the number of days that have gone by since the last edit. I can certainly see how having more visibility on this would prevent confusion. I'll be sharing your post with our Product Liaison team, who is always making improvements to based on seller feedback.

Appreciate your patience in the meantime and please let us know if anything else comes up!

This is a major issue for us, and it has created a lot of bad will with guests when we're not able to give them more information about the date that tabs were created, or when specific items were added to a tab.

Thanks for posting about this! I can definitely see how it would be helpful to be able to check the date a tab/open ticket was created. I'll share your experience with the Product Liaison team as well, this feedback will be really helpful to them.

If there are any updates to this feature we'll let you know here.

It's been a year since this original post and has there been a solution to this problem? It is something we, as a business, need to see so that we can hold guests/staff accountable for not closing tabs. Sometimes it's a necessary evil but we need to be able to see the "creation" date not just each time it was opened.

Please advise.

That would be useful if ALL of our staff would do this but it's not likely that they will all comply after 3 yrs of not having to include that. Every other POS system that I've ever worked on has had the ability to show the creation date so it shouldn't be too difficult.

I raised this same question over a year ago and we have consistently gotten the same answers - not available at this time, will refer to the product enhancement team, etc.  We have had to come up with workarounds and asking staff to use dates when they open tickets is good but it is far from foolproof.  We have had staff put their initials on tickets when opened  That works as long as staff remembers to do that.  If they forget or if we don't limit their ability to delete open tickets, it's a worthless workaround.  We have no way to tell a customer when their charges occurred and it makes us look bad.

Still no update on this. It sure would make life easier than ha Ving to type in a date or rather hoping to remember to do it each time.

Is there still not a resolution? I see this issue was raised several years ago. I'm having the same problem. I need to know what day/time a ticket was created to see which employee was working and didn't charge the customer for their order.  I'm stuck eating the cost.

It was brought up 5 years ago with no solution. That is wild.
