Is there a way to track specific sales, not all sales but specific sales for a school spirit night.

We are partnering with our local school baseball booster club and will have a school spirit night at our stand.  Is there a way to tag a sale so I can track the sales from the customers that are supporting the school, from our regular customers that are just buying things.

Hey @FireworksDan

@There’s no official way, but I’ve found something that works!

I set up a $0 item and name it whatever the event is or Fundraiser or something, and add it to the particular sales I want to track.

Then afterwards in the Web Dashboard, I go into the Transactions tab and search by item and type in that name. That will show a list of transactions with that item along with the total for that day of the sales with that item.

Let me know how it goes!

I looked at transactions on my dashboad and don't see a way to search for items, just date range settings, payment method, source, team member, things like that.  There is no search field on my screen, I must be in the wrong place

Hey @FireworksDan

Are you using a web browser on a computer or tablet?

If you do that, you should see a search bar on the Transactions screen.

Laptop using chrome. Starting at home, I’m going to upper left corner and hitting menu bars, side opens up to give me options to go to, home, reports, transactions, balance, items, ect. I hit transactions and get daily transactions and total for whatever date range I have but there is no search item option at all on that screen

Hmm, it sounds like you’re in the right place, @FireworksDan

It should have a search box with “Card #” next to it. That’s a drop down box where you can click and change it to items.

Can you attach a screenshot here of what you see on options there? just make sure to crop out any financial or personal info.

Ok, that’s what I see, but I don’t see any option to search sales by specific items, or filter by item. And please excuse me if I’m not using correct terms.
