Is there a way to record my purchases that are made for the business?

I am new to Square. I was wondering if there is a place to record the purchases I am making for the business and perform analytics quarterly measuring my profit after product?

This thread is almost a year old, so the information here is outdated.

Square has COG built into Square Retail which is a separate app.  You can read more information here about it https://squareup.com/pos/retail

Welcome to Square! We are happy to have you 😀

While Square Inventory Management does not have a way to track inventory costs, we do have an integration with Stitch Labs that will allow you to track your inventory costs and much more!

What about inventory costs when you are using quick books as your accounting software?

@Enchanted The current version of our Quickbooks and Square integration does not sync Square's inventory management tools or items. While we do have a few inventory integration options for Square, Quickbooks may not be the best option at the moment. You can see a full list of our inventory apps in your Square Dashboard

Recommending a $500/month add on to be able to track your inventory costs, is embarrassing & shows that Square is more than a little out of touch with small business. It's almost to the point where the average person might even question the motives behind building such a dynamic system & then leaving out the integrity of basic features required by any small business from a point of sale device, such as a cost of goods field, when adding items. That is not a $500/month add on & to suggest that, is disheartening at best. I want to use my Square POS, but there are many other POS systems that have much easier to use & more helpful inventory tracking tools, which in the long run far outweigh the loss from the money I spent on a Square POS. Please get better. so I can use your equipment, pay you $60 month & let you process our endless CC transactions.
