If I change my tax ID after the 1st of the year will it be retroactive to January 1?

I forgot to change my tax ID # January 1st for my new business. If I change it now, how do I make it retroactive to the 1st?

I need a copy of my transactions for 2016.  How do I find it?

@cbs If you qualify for one go to this link https://squareup.com/dashboard/business/taxes Remember to have a 1099k triggered as per the government regulations you had to have had 200 transactions AND $20,000 in credit card sales.

@BCKennels I believe that whatever EIN is on your account at the end of the year is what Square uses for filing the 1099k.

@BCKennels The reply from @VanKalkerFarms is correct, however you can change the information if you need.

The cutoff time to update your Square account EIN is the end of this month (March), so you should do this as soon as possible if you haven't done so already.

Once you update this information, it might not show up right away, so it's best to allow the dashboard to update by the end of the day before you look for the reflected changes.
