We are a High School Parent Booster Association. We have each club (cheer, band, orchestra, football, etc.) set up as a category and I need a way to know each club's (category) sales minus fees for the month and can't find a report with all the necessary info. It is all card transactions, no cash.
Is there a better way we should set this up?
@BFHS_Booster It will be really hard to attribute the exact fees to each category since it varies if the card is keyed in/tapped/swiped/dipped/online etc. The easiest way to do it would be to set up each club as a "location" and then you can have complete reporting for each group and still share the item catalog between each group if need be.
If you have to do a manual way you can use some of those fancy maths to get your basic number.
Go to reports and set up a custom report and make sure you have the category sales and payment methods on the report. From there you can take your total fees paid and divide it proportionally to each category based on sales.
I would just reclassify each group as a location and name it XYZ SCHOOL- BAND
