Is there a way to create required custom fields in the shipping address on the online store?

I have created an online store for my kids school spirit wear but we don't ship/deliver items to an address. We deliver the items to the students classrooms. Is there a way on the online store to make custom required fields for shipping? ie Student Name and Home Room. TIA

There isn't a way to add custom fields to the shipping form. Perhaps you can add a note option to checkout, that way students can enter their name and homeroom when they place their order. This thread walks through enabling this feature.
