Our PTO uses Square to process card transactions at school events as well as sell tickets for school events. Is there a way to assign transactions to a certain category to keep track of how much is processed for that particular event?
@WRESPTO You can create categories and assign specific items to a specific category. So you could create one category for school events and one for school ticket sales — and assign the items for each specific event/ticket to each category.
To create a category from the Point of Sale app:
You can also create categories from your online Square Dashboard. Keep in mind it's not possible to assign a category to a transaction that was completed in the past!
