Is contactless + chip reader compatible with LG Stylo 2 V

I have a LG Stylo 2 V that will not pair with my contactless + chip reader.  It starts to connect, and the flashing orange lights turn to solid green, but then the reader immediately disconnects.  I have tried all the troubleshooting steps, and contacted Square, and they sent a replacement.  I have the same problem with the new reader.

When looking up whether devices are compatible, the Stylo 2 V is not on the list.  The LG G Stylo is NOT compatible, but the Stylo 2 Plus is listed as compatible with the contactless reader. The specs between the 2 plus (which is compatible) and the 2 V (my phone) are nearly identical (the main exception being that my phone does not support NFC or MirrorLink).

Is there a setting I can change on my phone that will make it connect?  I do not understand why the Stylo 2 Plus is compatible, while the Stylo 2 V does not connect. Perhaps there is a phone setting I need to change?  Or do I need to make a return?

Thanks!

Hey @HGriesbach, welcome to the seller community!

Thanks for bringing this up. I went to double check on this and the LG Stylo 2 V is still not supported as you had mentioned.

While I don't have more specifics as to why, rest assured that I'll be sharing your experience with our Product Liaison team. We will update our Device Compatibility list as soon as we're able to support more models.

In the meantime, hopefully you're able to use an alternative mobile device — sorry for any inconvenience.
