I have my website through quickbizsites.com and according to them, Square is in their list of Payment Gateways that can be used through their site. You just have to have:
"an account with Square and provide the required configuration information"
My question is where do I get the configuration information on my account to provide to quickbizsites?

I'm not familiar with all the thousands of website builders, what are they asking for so I can point you in the right way to get the information?
They say I have to have
1. an account with Square, which I do,
2. a Gateway User ID/API Login,
3. a Password/Transaction Key

I think this is right, @Tom can step in if I'm wrong.
you need to create a Square application to get the Application id and Personal Access token. https://docs.connect.squareup.com/get-started#step-2-create-a-new-application
you're not making one just starting the process so that you get the needed information tied to your account to give to your website developer.

To answer your last question simply about Square acting as the payment gateway and merchant account—yes, your business is still designated as a merchant with Square, and your Square merchant account is associated with your email address.

I have looked into the info that you suggested and I am not a "Brand New Account" but when I click on the Application Dashboard, there is no button to click for New Application, just Create your first application. So, advice? Sorry not trying to ask dumb questions. Just want to do it right.

Step 2: Create a new application
When you create a new application, Square generates credentials (linked to that application) that you can use to work with Square APIs.

One last question, I do have a merchant account through Cayan and a payment gateway through authorize.net. As a small business, I really need to be able to avoid as many monthly fees as possible. If I go with Square through my website and I use the reader at events, which I do, is it necessary for me to have Cayan and Authorize.net? Between the two of them,
I pay about 30.00 a month in monthly fees, not to mention all the fees Cayan charges besides that.

Yes you can use Square instead of (or alongside) another processor if that's what your asking?
In terms of fees if you were to create a Square Online Store or if you used Square's eCommerce API the per-transaction fee is 2.9% + 30¢. There's no montly fee.
When you use a Square reader to take payments, the fee structure is slightly different. Again, there's no monthly fee to use the reader.
I'm not very familiar with Cayan and Authorize.net but you might want to reach out to them for the steps to access your reports if you close your accounts with them.

Cayan is my merchant account and Authorize.net is my payment gateway that I use for my website orders and wholesale customers. I can charge my wholesale customers cards manually through Authorize.net.
But...I can do all of this through Square right?
I think so! It sounds like you could use Invoices, Virtual Terminal or the app to manually enter your wholesale orders (keep in mind you can't track item sales with Virtual Terminal yet).
For your website you could use Square's APIs - there's more information about those on the Square Developer website here (scroll down on that site to see links to the Developer Slack Community too).
You could also give our CS team a call. If you call you can describe your current set up in detail, and we can say if Square can offer the same features like for like!
