How do you swipe cards when ipad mini doesn't have headphone jack and needs charged so can't use the lighting adaptor? 

Looking at buying the @rest stand for ipad mini kit

all iPads and iPad minis still have headphone jacks, only the Phone 7, 8, and X don't have headphone jacks.  the headphone jack is on the opposite end from the lightning port.
