Inventory tracking help: How can I track yardage for a quilt shop?

I need to track yardage for a quilt shop but I can't put a number other than a whole number (15.88) in the box. Can you tell me if this is possible?

You are correct.  You can only put in whole numbers because every time you make a sale it will only accept whole numbers.  

An idea would be to restrict sales to quarters and enter each quarter as 1..  Therefore a 1.5 yard of material would be 6 units.  This may be more confusing than it is worth.  The other way is to find some other way of tracking your inventory.
