Hi everyone,

 

I've been using Square since September 2021 and since then my jewellery and fashion accessories business has generated over 1.5 million in sales using nearly every Square feature available.

 

The one major unique aspect to my business is our focus on livestream sales. We mainly use Facebook as our main platform, which is great due to Square's compatibility, but we've begun to include TikTok as the audience is so large and the organic growth is incredible.

 

A key reason we're doing so well is that our customers enjoy watching our streams, purchasing our products and building a relationship with our team. It's an aspect of online selling which has taken off in Asia, has begun to gain ground in the US and but is almost non-existent in Australia.

 

Australian platforms haven't really done a great job in keeping up with livestream shopping features but thanks to Square, a whole bunch of trial & error and a dabble of creative problem solving, we've managed to build a process that allows for us to livestream to customers, take their orders and then continue to promote our items to them. In return, we've been rewarded with continued growth.

 

My request to Square is to look at other platforms on the market, mainly in China and the US, and start to replicate or advance on their livestreaming features. The next best thing is to increase compatibility and features with other social media platforms that could assist sellers in selling direct to their customer base via livestreaming. One example is a checkout link witch allows customers to add to a cart during a TikTok live for example.
