If I run out of paper on my printer does my cash drawer stop opening?

My cash drawer stopped working is it b/c my printer is out of paper?  It is a USB printer.  I will have more paper for it tomorrow just need to know if that is the problem...

Sorry for the delay @omallikins! It sounds like you have a printer-driven cash drawer so yep, when you load the printer with paper again the cash drawer will automatically open. In the meantime you can open the drawer manually with the key.
