I am a seller. I completed a sale and it asked receipt option (email, text, print). None of the customers info had been entered, but it autofilled the text number. Where did that number generate from and how do I change it?

This happens due to Square's Automatic Receipt function. The way it works is if a customer purchases on Square Business A and provides their phone number for receipt, their number gets stored within their Square Profile. When the customer visits Business B and requests a receipt we use the phone number already stored in their profile to speed up the process of the sale and the time they spent checking out.
The way to update this phone number would be to have your customer visit their Square Profile and edit their contact information and preferences.
