I want to be able to assign items to categories after sale and still aggregate in reports, how?

After selling some items for a week, I went in to classify them in categories.  Now when I pull reports that cover both periods of time, the items I sold the first week are showing up as uncategorized and the ones sold in the second week are showing up in their categories.  I want them to aggregate...how can I re-assign items already sold to their proper category?

Is it possible to change the category of an item after the sale has already taken place?  If so, ho can that be done?

Hi @WinfieldExecuti - I see this is your first post in the Seller Community, so I'd like to officially welcome you! 🎉👏

 

Unfortunately, it is not possible to retroactively edit the category which an item is assigned to after a sale has been completed. However, once you reassign the item to a different category, it will attribute to that category the next time the item is sold.
