I only see 'modifer sets" not Modifiers

I want to add a modifer that collects some user text for customization. ex: Initial or Last Name.

I only see the modifier-sets and no where does it allow me to add a modifer to collect text.

HI, you can create a text box to capture text using your Modifiers.  Be sure to include character limit and checkmark the Make This A Required Field box.

Unfortunately not, only in the Square Online editor.

Thank you Justin. I was afraid that was the case, I will just have to live with the Notes field. What bothers me is that 3 sessions on Support chat did not reveal that answer. I felt all three were fairly new and lacked good product knowledge. Again, thanks.

Okay so our question is: Why is this not available on the POS version?

I would like to use this to create a macguyver'd zip code tracker without making every single visitor to my museum create a customer profile. 

Is there a technical reason it only works online and not in person?
