I need help setting up shop

"You have to add items before you can link them to this category" is what I'm getting on weebly. But when I try to add items on Squareup dashboard it says 

"Your email is linked to a current Weebly Account.

Sign in to your Weebly account to connect it to your Square account, then create your checkout link."

I've already connected my weebly to Square. I even disconnected and reconnected. please help
