I have a cancellation policy but I couldn't charge no show fee

I have my cancellation and no show policy enabled. The appointment said it was protected for now shows by card number xxxx. Yet when I selected No-Show, nothing happened. All it did was delete her appointment and label it as no show. There was no option to charge a fee and when I open her missed appointment on her client tab there is no option. What am I missing here? How do I charge the no show fee?

@Rdaletto it sounds like you may have missed a step. Do you remember checking a box to charge the client's card?

To charge a no-show:

  1. Log in to your Appointments Dashboard and click either the Overview or Calendar > locate the booked appointment.
  2. Select Mark As No-Show > check the box indicating to charge client’s card.
  3. Click Record as No-Show And Charge.

If your customer’s card is declined, you’ll need to follow up with them directly.

This happened to me today as well, and this is the first time it's happened so it's not something I am doing wrong. I am very upset about it. Square has also stopped sending notifications when someone requests an appointment which has cost me money as well.
